About Barrington River Lodge

From the minute we stepped out of our car we fell in love with Barrington River Lodge. The sound of the running river, the frogs croaking in the dam and the beauty of the surrounding nature. We felt at home. It may have been a rainy day but it didn’t matter. We are honoured now to be the new custodians and will carry forward the dreams of John and Marianne staying true to the founding intention of this special place. A place for people to unwind and reconnect with nature.

I came to Barrington to relax bike and kayak, and I think I found the best spot, the accommodation was faultless it had everything I could possibly want, knowing there was no mobile reception or tv internet I was already prepared so not disappointed. In my opinion, it’s the best spot to paddle from Bindara to, such an easy access to the river, I paddled 15km from Bindara to the lodge straight into a warm shower, then BBQ dinner. It’s close enough to Gloucester 10-15 mins yet far enough away in the wilderness. The hosts were fantastic, easy going yet precise information, I’d definitely recommend Barrington River Lodge and I’ll definitely be back, I found my spot in Barrington!

Our stay at Barrington lodge for my 30th birthday was magical. The location is ideal, with tranquil mountains and a peaceful river to keep you company. The whole place is very tidy and has all your essential needs. We had a fab time and can’t wait to visit again.

Unreal spot of land, we booked the whole property for a group of 18 of us and it was well worth the money, got everything you need to have a nice weekend away. Tamara is super helpful, easy to communicate with and happy to help where she can. Id happily recommend this place for large groups!
